I am interested by any questions related to the ecology. My focus in coral reefs raised because of my addiction in diving and my indecision in working on plants or animals. Coral reefs are further emblematic of the profound impact of anthropogenic activities on the biosphere which calls for immediate and radical actions for changing human behavior. Yen-Li has the hard part of the lab: administration. Fighting in this maze, she always finds the solution to our problem. Over the years, she learns to decipher the most obscure language from various Taiwanese administrations. In comparison, science is easy. |

I'm interested in Geomorphology and Marine Biology. My master's study focused on the impact of biological effects on the landform, like the landscape changes due to the calcium carbonate accumulation of reef corals. I'm also a divemaster who can take care of other students and organize various field plans including environmental monitoring, benthic community survey, and coral restoration. In addition, I'm professional on operate underwater drills (hydraulic, pneumatic, electric), air compressors, and drive powerboats or jet skis. I'm also passionate about aerial photography and video editing, producing beautiful and good-quality videos! :D ResearchGate |

I am interested in ecosystems dynamics and interactions, with a particular concern for the synergetic effects of natural and anthropogenic disturbances. Coral ecosystems are as crucial for human society as they are for the biosphere. Thus, I focused my efforts on these vital ecosystems and their important interconnectivity with adjacent systems. I define myself as a molecular ecologist with a profound interest in coral ecosystems. While shallow tropical reefs are on the decline, marginal coral ecosystems (marginal: 1. At the edge of the coral distribution and 2. Historically not central in coral studies) are on the rise. My goal is to understand how species go through our changing world, at the community, the physiology and the molecular levels. ResearchGate | Scholar |

I have interest for the diversity and role of the coastal benthic communities. In this context, the seas around Taiwan constitute an excellent natural laboratory in which I can identify a variety of reefs shaped by contrasted environmental conditions. High-latitudes and mesophotic communities are among those communities I like to explore as much less is known on these marginal habitats. I am a passionate of outdoor activities, discovering new countries, and socialize around a drink :) ResearchGate | Scholar |

Tsai-Hsuan Tony HSU | National Taiwan University
Previously, I participated in different aspects of research in our lab from benthic ecology to physiological ecology in order to develop my own interests. Now, my master study focuses on the relationship between reef fish assemblages and benthic communities. For assessing fish assemblages, three methods are used and compared with each other, i.e., underwater visual census (UVC), diver-operated videos (DOV), and environmental DNA (eDNA). |

I have a broad interest in coral reefs and in organisms inhabiting these ecosystems. For my research, I am exploring how the identity of the holobionts (animal host and its associated microbiome) could modulate octocorals’ response to environmental changes. I am an excited beginner diver which helps me at sustaining winter temperature in northern Taiwan. |

I'm Morris, My research topic is to apply structure-from-motion photogrammetry to evaluate how structure complexity of coral reefs around Taiwan is affected by latitudinal gradient and bioerosion. I've been looking forward to be engaged in coral research for years, and now, the opportunity finally comes. Besides being a SCUBA drunker, I'm also enthusiastic about traveling and exploring historic relics. |

I am interested in biointeractions between fish and coral reefs. By recording fish assemblages and coral compositions along the east coast with 360 degree cameras, I try to find out how they influence each other. Also, invertebrates living in coral reefs is an interesting topic for me. I would like to know how they influence coral compositions. As a beginner diver, I am looking forward to what I am going to learn here. |

Call me Cash! I am interested in nuts only especially those cashew ones. Checking daily if I can grab some food. I am noisy and annoying, disturbing people while they are working |
